Which Jacaranda, Bob? I know of at least 10. Jacaranda Preto is a common local name for BRW..that the one you've got in mind?

The pores are too big for Tasmanian tiger myrtle (is there another type?), I spent the weekend working with some.

I've actually seen some of the wood in the first pics, but can't remember where (old age creeping up). How heavy is it? The stuff I almost remember, was very light.

Thanks Bob...know I know one more name for jacaranda genus Machaerium species villosum That species can produce some remarkable wood.
